§ 10-227. Property protection.

  • (a)

    Each mining operation shall be enclosed by a wire fence or chainlink construction with a minimum height of six feet. Such fence shall be maintained at all times.

    (b)

    Where practical, an earth bank or vegetative screen shall be erected and maintained to screen the mining operation from view from any residential district located within one-half mile of the operation. The planning commission shall determine the practicality and necessity of aesthetic screening in each individual mining operation.
