§ 10-351. Sound.

  • The pressure level of sounds shall not exceed the following decibel levels when adjacent to the following types of uses:

    Sound Level
    dBA
    Adjacent Use Where Measured
    75 Residential Common property line
    85 Commercial Common property line
    90 Industrial and other Common property line

     

    Noise shall be measured with a sound level meter having an A-weighted filter constructed in accordance with specifications of the American National Standards Institute. Measurements are to be made at any point in residential, commercial and industrial districts as indicated in the table in this section. Objectionable noises due to intermittence, beta, frequency, or shrillness, shall be muffled so as not to become a nuisance to adjacent uses.
