§ 10-422. General prohibitions.

  • The operation of a sanitary landfill shall be conducted in a manner which prohibits insect and rodent breeding, odor problems, dust problems, and fires. Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of separately and immediately in accordance with the provisions of this article. The site shall be maintained in such condition as to reasonably conceal all evidence of solid waste disposal. Employees at the site shall have knowledge of the types of accidents and diseases which are prevalent among sanitation workers. An emergency plan for handling accident victims shall be established. Access to the site shall be limited to landfill employees and those persons specifically authorized access to the site. These provisions shall not be construed to limit the right of entry by the township supervisor or his duly authorized representative.
