The following abbreviations, when used in this article, shall have the following designated meanings:
BOD - Biochemical oxygen demand

CFR - Code of Federal Regulations as amended

COD - Chemical oxygen demand

EPA - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

gpd - gallons per day

IPP - Industrial pretreatment program

mg/l - milligrams per liter

NPDES - National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System

POTW - Publicly owned treatment works

RCRA - Resource Conservation and Recovery Act

SIC - Standard industrial classification

TSS - Total suspended solids

U.S.C. - United States Code
